Membership term

Built for meaningful, ongoing results.

Like any successful PR and marketing programme, PressStays.com works best when it's given time to build momentum. We recommend hotels view membership as an ongoing, year-round investment. We also understand how quickly hospitality moves, so we don't tie hotels into lengthy 12 or 24-month contracts. Membership begins with a six-month minimum term, followed by three months' notice should you decide to leave.

  • — The initial minimum term is six months from the start of membership.
  • — After the initial term, three full months' notice is required to leave.
  • — Notice may be submitted during the initial six months, but the notice period does not begin until the initial term has finished.
  • — The earliest a new membership can therefore end is after nine months.
  • — Membership fees remain payable throughout the initial term and the notice period.

Full terms are set out in the Membership Terms.

Membership questions

What is the difference between an Editorial Press Stay and a Hosted Creator Collaboration?
An Editorial Press Stay supports genuine editorial consideration, with no agreed deliverable. A Hosted Creator Collaboration is an agreed exchange in which the creator produces specified content, with disclosure requirements and usage rights set out before the stay. We keep the two models deliberately separate.
How much does hotel membership cost?
Standard membership is £299 plus VAT per property, per month, billed monthly. Membership includes up to five live Stay Opportunities per property at any one time; drafts, paused and closed opportunities do not count towards the live limit. Membership begins with a six-month minimum term, followed by three full months' notice, so the earliest a new membership can end is after nine months.
Can hotel groups join?
Yes. Standard membership is £299 plus VAT per property, per month. Each property requires its own active membership before it can publish opportunities. Invite your team to help manage your PressStays account — with up to five users for properties and up to ten for PR agencies. Managing a larger portfolio? Contact us to discuss your requirements.
Can PR agencies and freelancers use PressStays.com for clients?
Yes. PR agencies, freelance PR consultants and other authorised representatives use the hotel route, create or manage the hotel they represent and identify their role during signup. Each property needs its own active membership.
Can hotels reach international journalists and creators?
Yes. Storytellers record the destinations and markets they cover, and opportunities are distributed to relevant members wherever they are based.
How are influencer disclosure and advertising rules handled?
Hosted stays and agreed content need to be disclosed clearly. We provide plain-English disclosure guidance and record what was agreed, but members remain responsible for complying with the rules and tax obligations that apply to them. We do not provide legal, advertising or tax advice.
Can a journalist or creator charge a fee for a PressStays.com stay?
No. Hosted Creator Collaborations are hospitality-based collaborations, so no additional participation, appearance or content-creation fee may be requested or charged in connection with a stay arranged through PressStays.com — on or off the platform. Storytellers remain completely free to undertake paid commercial partnerships with hotels or other brands outside PressStays.com, including other work during the same trip, provided it does not materially reduce, overshadow or replace the content agreed with the PressStays.com host.
Can Storytellers join free?
Yes. There is no charge for approved journalists and influencers, and there never has been a fee for being part of the community.
