Experience creates better stories.
There is a meaningful difference between writing about a hotel from supplied information and actually staying there, eating there, meeting its people and experiencing it first-hand.
For hotels
PressStays.com brings hotels together with vetted journalists and influencers. Publish Stay Opportunities, discover people actively looking for properties like yours, or invite someone suitable yourself — then decide who you accept and host.
A more direct route to discovery
Established hotel brands often have year-round teams keeping them visible to travel media. Independent hotels, smaller groups and distinctive hospitality businesses may have equally worthwhile properties and experiences, without the same routes to the right people.
Genuine stories and news hooks still matter. PressStays.com gives each property a practical way to put forward a refurbishment, reopening, new restaurant, wellness experience, anniversary, sustainability initiative, unusual experience or seasonal idea. You choose what to offer, who to speak with and who you ultimately welcome.
The value of first-hand experience
There is a meaningful difference between writing about a hotel from supplied information and actually staying there, eating there, meeting its people and experiencing it first-hand.
Full PR agency retainers can be beyond the budget of many independent and boutique hotels. PressStays.com provides a focused, more affordable route to relevant journalists and influencers.
Dates, guests, what's included, expectations, Editorial versus Creator pathway, communication and resulting coverage or content are organised in one place.

Inbound discovery, plus proactive outreach
Once your property is listed, vetted journalists and influencers browsing for their next feature, trip or piece of content can find you, read what you offer and request a stay. That inbound discovery is the heart of the platform — your listing works while you run your hotel.
See Briefs from journalists and influencers actively looking for properties and stories, then put your hotel forward when it fits. You can also search the community and invite suitable people directly to a live opportunity.
For hotel representatives
PR agencies, freelance PR consultants and other authorised representatives use the hotel route to create and manage the properties they represent. During signup, simply identify that you are acting for the hotel; each client property is managed through its own active membership.

What you get out of it
Your property and Stay Opportunities are visible to vetted journalists and influencers looking for places and stories to feature.
Create timely opportunities around your property's news, experiences and availability, and update them when circumstances change. You can have up to five live Stay Opportunities per property at any one time; drafts, paused and closed opportunities do not count towards the live limit.
A hotel in the Cotswolds can be found by a writer in New York. A Portuguese property can be found by UK media. Reach beyond your domestic market.
Search the Storyteller Community and invite relevant people to a specific opportunity, within a fair monthly limit that keeps the community spam-free.
Requests, messages, confirmed stays, cancellations and coverage all sit against the property rather than in a personal inbox.
Performance & Impact turns recorded activity — views, invitations, requests, stays, coverage and content — into a report you can share internally.
Inside your account
Create and publish up to five live Stay Opportunities per property at any one time, each with its own dates, inclusions, pathway and requirements. Draft, paused and closed opportunities do not count towards the live limit.
Stay Requests arrive against the opportunity, complete with the applicant's outlet, audience and professional track record on the platform.
Search the Storyteller Community by market, interest and medium, then invite the right people to a specific opportunity — within a fair monthly allowance.
Talk to accepted Storytellers in the platform, and keep one permanent confirmation record of what was agreed for every stay.
Log the articles, features and content that follow a stay, with evidence, so the value of your programme is never just a memory.
Recorded activity and outcomes presented as a report — clearly labelled, never manufactured, and shareable with owners or your board.
Reputation from real stays
After a genuine completed Press Stay, hotels and Storytellers can leave feedback about their experience. That track record gives both sides useful context when deciding who to work with next. It is separate from the application approval process and never guarantees coverage, outcomes or future acceptance.
The hotel journey
Create your property profile and publish the hosted stays you would like to offer.
Vetted journalists and influencers find your property and its Stay Opportunities from around the world.
Browse relevant Briefs, put your property forward, review Stay Requests and invite suitable people to a live opportunity.
Confirm the stay, agree what is included and welcome them. Editorial coverage is never guaranteed; agreed creator content is recorded up front.
Record the coverage and content that follows and see it in your Performance & Impact reporting.
How the exchange works
Approved journalists and influencers join and use PressStays.com free of charge. Hotels pay for access to the platform and community.
Hosted Creator Collaborations are hospitality-based collaborations. Storytellers must not request or charge an additional participation, appearance or content-creation fee in connection with a stay arranged through PressStays.com.
The value exchange is complimentary hospitality and the experience itself, plus reasonable travel expenses where the hotel has agreed to cover them.
An Editorial Press Stay never guarantees coverage. What is published, where and in what terms remains entirely with the journalist and their publication.
Content agreed as part of a Hosted Creator Collaboration must genuinely and appropriately feature the hosting property or experience. It should not primarily promote an unrelated brand, or use the hotel simply as a backdrop for another campaign.
Storytellers remain completely free to undertake paid commercial partnerships with hotels or other brands outside PressStays.com, including other work during the same trip, provided it does not materially reduce, overshadow or replace the content agreed with the PressStays.com host. Appropriate advertising and commercial disclosures remain the Storyteller's responsibility.
International media
Storytellers on PressStays.com record the destinations and markets they cover, so a Portuguese retreat can be discovered by a Canadian writer, and a Caribbean hotel can connect with a European editor. Credible third-party coverage also supports long-term digital discoverability — brand awareness, backlinks, search visibility and, increasingly, the sources that AI assistants draw upon. We make no guarantees about rankings, citations or search performance.
Standard membership is £299 + VAT per property, per month, and each property requires its own active membership. Invite your team to help manage your PressStays account — with up to five users for properties and up to ten for PR agencies.
