Joining

PressStays.com is free for approved storytellers. Applications are reviewed, and accounts are activated only once the application has been approved.

Once approved, appropriate professional profile information becomes visible to eligible hotel members. Private account, security and contact information is never shown.

Editorial press stays

A journalist must have genuine editorial intent. Hosted hospitality is a meaningful commitment from the hotel, so PressStays.com expects professional courtesy and a genuine intention to consider appropriate editorial coverage wherever reasonably possible.

Editorial coverage is not guaranteed. Positive coverage is never required. Hotels cannot require predetermined wording or a favourable review.

Hosted creator collaborations

A hosted creator collaboration is a hospitality-based collaboration. Hospitality, and any travel expenses the hotel has agreed to cover, is the value exchange for the creator deliverables explicitly recorded before confirmation.

Storytellers must not request or charge an additional participation, appearance or content-creation fee in connection with a stay arranged through PressStays.com, whether through the platform or directly with the hotel or its representatives.

Content agreed as part of a hosted creator collaboration must genuinely and appropriately feature the hosting property or experience. It must not primarily promote an unrelated third-party brand, or use the hotel simply as a backdrop for another campaign.

Storytellers remain completely free to undertake paid commercial partnerships with hotels or other brands outside PressStays.com, including other work during the same trip, provided it does not materially reduce, overshadow or replace the content agreed with the PressStays.com host.

Agreed creator deliverables are commitments. Agreed usage rights are recorded on the confirmation; rights that were not agreed are not granted.

Advertising and disclosure requirements vary by jurisdiction and platform. PressStays.com provides general guidance only and does not provide legal or tax advice, and does not guarantee compliance.

Hosted benefits may have tax consequences. You remain responsible for your own tax affairs.

Conduct

Confirmed stays are professional commitments. Repeated no-shows, serious misconduct, false credentials, abuse of hospitality or repeated failure to honour agreed creator deliverables may lead to account review or suspension.
